Magnificent glazed ceramic sculpture, made using the Japanese RAKU technique. Entitled “Drapé 10 Africaines” (Draped 10 African Women).

Raku, short for the Japanese term raku-yaki 楽焼, is the result of a glazing technique in Japanese ceramics developed in the 16th century. A stronger chamotte stoneware is used because the pieces must withstand significant temperature changes.

This very elegant piece (H 40 cm L 54 cm) is an original and unique creation by Brigitte MILLET from the PIQUIFOU Workshop.
