Original sculpture, in glazed ceramic, using the Japanese RAKU technique. Entitled ‘Geisha - Japan’.
Raku, short for the Japanese term raku-yaki 楽焼, is the result of an enamelling technique in Japanese ceramics developed in the 16th century. A stronger chamotte stoneware is used because the pieces must withstand significant temperature changes.
This elegant piece (H 42 cm) is an original and unique creation by Brigitte MILLET from the PIQUIFOU workshop.
