Using a steel structure that has been cut, bent and welded, artist Robert JAYET will bring to life these magnificent figures from Africa and Australia.
Very spindly, probably inspired by Giacometti, these figures soar and move, they are the guardians of their entity.
The sculpture entitled ‘Danseuse’ (Dancer) depicts a young dancer whose head is sculpted in Lapis Lazuli, the stone of the Pharaohs of Egypt. Her hands and feet are in bronze, with an ebony-black patina on the body. It rests on a white marble base.
It is unique and signed by the artist, dated 2020. Height 77 cm
